▌Product description
OPGW optical cable, also known as optical fiber composite overhead ground wire. The optical fiber is placed in the ground wire of the overhead high-voltage transmission line to form the optical fiber communication network on the transmission line. This structural form has the dual functions of ground wire and communication. OPGW optical cables widely used at this stage mainly fall into three categories: aluminum pipe type, aluminum skeleton type and (stainless) steel pipe type.
▌Characteristic
Optical fiber has anti electromagnetic interference and light weight;
It can be installed on the top of transmission line tower without considering the optimal mounting position and electromagnetic corrosion;
OPGW has high reliability, superior mechanical performance and low cost;
Good stability, long service life and not easy to be damaged.
▌Features
OPGW optical cable is mainly used on 500kV, 220kV and 110kV voltage grade lines. Affected by line power failure and other factors, it is mostly used on new lines.
