▌Product overview

Coaxial cable, which has long been used to transmit data and video signals, was one of the first media to support 10BASE2 and 10BASE5 Ethernet, enabling 10 Mb/s transmission up to 185 meters or 500 meters, respectively. The term "coaxial" means that the central conductor of a cable and its shielding layer have the same axis or center point. Some coaxial cables may have multiple shielding layers, such as a four-shielded coaxial cable, which contains two shielding layers, each of which consists of a wire mesh wrapped in aluminum foil. This shielding feature of coaxial cable makes it have strong ability of electromagnetic interference resistance and can transmit high frequency signals over long distances.
