Description
The structure of GYTC8S optical cable is that 250μm optical fiber is sheathed in a loose tube made of high modulus material, and the loose tube is filled with waterproof compound. The center of the cable core is a metal reinforced core (also non-metallic, such as FRP, etc.), and the loose tube (and filler rope) is twisted around the central reinforced core to form a compact circular cable core. A layer of plastic-coated aluminum tape (APL) is added to the sheath outside the cable core in the form of longitudinal wrapping, and finally a polyethylene sheath is squeezed together with the steel strand to make the cross section of the "8" shape.
GYTC8S is a typical self supporting outdoor fiber optic cable with features of moisture resistance and crush resistance suitable for aerial application. The mental strength member is made up of stranded wires as the supporting part are completed with a polyethylene(PE) sheath to be figure 8 structure. Corrugated steel tape armored and PE outer sheath providing crush resistance and gun shot resistance features. The steel-wire strength member as the central strength improves the tensile strength and it is surrounded by the loose tube and water blocking system. The impact structure ensures excellent mechanical and environmental performance. Both single mode type and multimode types are available. Various lengths and fiber number can be customized according to customers’ requirements.
