▌Product description
OPGW optical cable, namely optical fiber composite overhead ground wire, the optical fiber is placed in the overhead high voltage transmission line ground wire, used to form the optical fiber communication network on the transmission line, both ground wire and communication dual functions. It is mainly used for communication lines of 35kV and above newly-built overhead high voltage transmission system, and can also be used to replace existing ground lines of old overhead high voltage transmission system, increase optical communication lines, conduct short circuit current and provide protection against lightning strike.
▌Characteristic
1. For lines with high voltage exceeding 110KV, the span is large (generally more than 250m);
2. It is easy to maintain and solve the problem of line crossing, and its mechanical characteristics can meet the requirements of line crossing;
3. The outer layer of OPGW is metal armor, which has no impact on high-voltage corrosion and degradation;
4. OPGW must be powered off during construction, and the power loss is large, so OPGW should be used in new high-voltage lines above 110kV; 5. In the performance indicators of OPGW, the greater the short-circuit current, the more it needs to be armored with good conductors, the tensile strength will be reduced accordingly. When the tensile strength is certain, to improve the short-circuit current capacity, only increase the metal cross-sectional area, resulting in cable diameter and cable strength The weight increases, which puts forward the safety problem for the strength of the line tower.
